#17 - “Stained Glass" Hawaiian Sampler Wall Quilt -Two Day Class Feb 7-8 Wed-Thu


Take a trip to the islands with Meg Maeda, from Tokyo, Japan, with this Original Design that will call to your heart and soul. If you have been blessed enough to visit the south Pacific, you will understand how realistically Meg has captured the warm and inviting islands. Lucky you, she has created this new quilt especially for TKDAA ’18. Meg will have you stitch a stained glass Hawaiian sampler with 4 Hawaiian plants: Torch Ginger, Pineapple, Bread fruits, and Hibiscus, in Reverse Applique for a Stained Glass effect. This 30"x30” quilt can be made in several different styles and techniques which will be explored in this TWO DAY Class.

Required Fee: $15. kit contains:  Black fabric, white fabric, Felt pen, Applique thread      



Fabric - (12” square of bright fabrics) for Torch Ginger, Pineapple, Bread Fruits, Leaf of Bread Fruits, Hibiscus, Core of Hibiscus, and (4 pieces of 12”squares of contrasting fabrics) for back grounds.

Small Sharp Embroidery Scissors, Paper Scissors and Fabric Scissors, Pins, Basting thread (bright color), Basting needle, Applique needle, Glue stick for fabric
