SPRINGTIME IS HERE!

MAY 2026

Hi Ya’ll! Kathy here; I’m dropping in to share a bit of “applique goodness” and my upcoming teaching schedule. I have some fun photos to share from some wonderful past events and thought you might enjoy finding yourself there in a pic or two, or seeing what my classes look like. Usually I’m having way too much fun and forget to snap photos, but sometimes I get some “gems” to share. I’ve got a “giveaway” for two lucky subscribers and I’ll share that with you, too. I’m also going to start a “free” Block of the Month here and will kick that off in June 2026, so stay tune for those details and also join me for some “live fun” on my YouTube channel @kathydunigan5867 to make this beautiful quilt. I love sharing demos so there will be plenty of technique help for beginners through advanced. I absolutely prefer working “in person” with fellow appliquérs but I know that’s not always possible - so, watch for those details. Also, I’ve been busy searching dates and locales close to me in Destin, Florida’s Panhandle on the Gulf coast for The Kathy Dunigan Academy of Applique and hope to share the dates very soon! It’s just too beautiful here not to take full advantage and share Destin with my applique friends - it is going to be an event not to be missed! Stay tuned!

UPCOMING FREE BLOCK OF THE MONTH, JUNE 2026 - DETAILS SOON!

Some of you may remember this quilt, Symphony of Blue Wreaths, that my mom, JoAnn Hudgins and myself collaborated on, and some of you may have the pattern from years ago.

Well, it’s time to renew and remake this beauty and it will be totally grand with all the things that I have planned for it. (You may not even recognize it. lol) You’ll get a chance once a month to get each month’s block pattern FREE, and to tune in live @kathydunigan5867 on my YouTube channel, as I share demos and tips and just have a chance to gather with friends. I’m really excited about this, as it’ll be my first “live” YouTube so you may not want to miss this, hahaha - could be some crazy bloopers - oh no! *If you’re interested, please let me know and share with your friends; the more the merrier! NOV 13-15, 2026 - INTERNATIONAL QUILT FESTIVAL in Houston, TX - So happy to join this wonderful show again for my 10th year! MY CLASS DETAILS will be on student portal very soon!
