JOYOUS JUNE IS HERE!

JUNE 2026

Hi Ya’ll! Kathy here; I’m dropping in to let you know the details of my new June 1, 2026 (noon central) FREE BOM. All you need to do is download the Supply list and Block One pattern from my website at: www.kathyduniganappliqueacademy.com. Then when you are ready during the month of June, just subscribe to my Youtube channel at: @kathydunigan5867 and join me for some BIG fun! I hope to see you there! I have been working to re-do my original 2010 “Symphony of Blue Wreaths” quilt with a dark background and use my “Broderie Perse-lique” technique. I won’t be duplicating the quilt with all of the wired and unwired ribbon work, but will certainly share some of those techniques; just ask!

I have some fun photos in a slideshow to honor my friend and mentor, Elly Sienkiewicz, (she of applique fame) who passed away in May. She touched so many of us and her legacy is one that cannot be matched. I have been enjoying going through old photos, emails and memos of and from Elly and though I am saddened for our loss, I am blessed to have known her. I do “what I do” and “teach how I teach” because of how she touched my life and I try to always live up to and continue forward with what she taught me. I hope you’ll enjoy my little slideshow from 2015 of when TKDAA honored her and Bette Augustine, her longtime academy administrator and friend.
