Meg Maeda, from Tokyo, Japan, leads two lives. She is a professional Graphic designer by day, and also a professional quilt artist, designer and teacher of Hawaiian-style Quilts. She has over 100 students in Tokyo who follow her teachings as their Sensai. Her unique quilts have been in exhibitions throughout Japan and Hawaii and have won Best of Show 4 times at Quilt Hawaii. She has been a featured teacher for many years at Quilt Hawaii and looks forward to her first class at TKDAA ’16. Meg’s love of all the beauty of Hawaii is evident in her uniquely beautiful designs, both traditional and contemporary, filled with the Aloha spirit! Her work is meticulous! All her quilts are hand appliquéd, hand quilted and are unparalleled in design and color. She skillfully shares her knowledge, techniques and Aloha with students. She is the author of 4 books.
